Santana Row Aug 2012

So this is me.
And my bestie Lauren to the left.
And my bestie Alicia on the right.
(Alicia is so beautiful that you only need half her face in the photo)
Aren't we beautiful?!

And sometimes when we feel super classy,  we get all dressed up and hit up Santana Row to have delicious food and walk around the stores hating ourselves for not being rich enough to buy out Anthropologie. ;)

Someday!!

Well I wish I looked this way when I randomly turn to the camera.
What the heck!

Oh how I love these girls!

Lauren and me!
Giving the thumbs up for Spain!

Lauren is going to study abroad for a semester in Spain. How cool is that!? But I am going to miss her dearly. I went over on one of her last nights here in California to give her a little something something and to help her with her blog. (Not that I am an expert but I want her to do the basics because I want to know EVERYTHING that she does) And no, that isn't creepy! How else am I supposed to live vicariously through her?! ;)

And she also wants to be a fashionista traveling blogger.
She thinks she can't be one.
But guess what.
She already is one. Shhshh.
Look below.

Yeah, Lauren.
We don't believe you!

As excited for Lauren as I am?
Want to stalk her like I will?

My favorite kidlets

Now hold on now!
These kiddies aren't mine.
Let me explain.
I have spent my past two winters with them.
And I spent a weekend with them while their parents went out of town.

Babysitting and living?
Whole new ballgame.
Like soccer and baseball different.

But is was fun. Exhausting but fun.
I came home and gave my mom the biggest hug.
Oh my word. I was grateful for everything that she did before but now I am grateful for everything that she does. I knew it was a lot but even that is an understatement. Holy cow.

To everyone reading this: Go give your mom a hug or call her or even shoot her a text if you hate being touchy feely and thoughtful. You tell her how much you appreciated how well she took care of you. Day in and day out. Without fail. Because you really have no idea until you have kids of your own. Even fake kids like I had. Overall, fake motherhood isn't at all what I expected it to be. And I know fake motherhood isn't even close to the real deal! Such work! But the blessings, the happiness and even the little moments really make it all worth it.

Alright! I have said what I wanted to say! I'll stop and get right down to business.
The beautiful shots below.

So I noticed that the pictures of the kids in the house were super out of date! When I commented on it, the kids suggested we replace them. They were all over the idea of secretly taking nice pictures and surprising mom and dad with them.
All over it :)

Cue the camera and combs!

And bring of the cutest 5 kids you will ever meet.
From the same family that is.
Probably my favorite part about going out all together were the looks that I got from people.

"Miss, are those all of your kids?"
The kids look up at me and I would smile and say
"Yes. Yes they are!"
The reactions are priceless.

Becca.
The oldest and the leader of the clan.
She is super hyper and energetic.
Doesn't her hair look great?!

Brooke.
Look how adorable she is.
Definitely has style.
It kills me how I am almost twice her age and have no chance in being this cute.

Sarah.
Also just as cute as Brooke and Becca!
This girl is going places.
Probably will be the president someday.

Sam.
This little man is hilarious!
He has got a fun personality and a crazy imagination.

Will.
Look at that little gentlemen.
The best part is that I only told Will to go change his shorts to pants so he could "look nice" for the pictures. He came back to be for approval in this! Hair combed, shirt tucked in and styling that belt that compliments his shoes. He started the formal wear theme of the pictures.
I know now that "look nice" for Will means look dashing!

So basically, you are jealous because they are supremely cute.

And last but not least, Tiv!
The family kitten.

I know, I know.
Gretchen taking picture of a cat?
I'm a little shocked myself.
Usually I am not a fan.
Really, really not a fan.

But what can I say?
This handsome little guy wormed his way into my heart.
It took awhile but he never gave up.
Many sad but cute "Why don't you love me?" looks were thrown.
I didn't stand a chance.
And I must confess that I love it when he rubs noses with me.

So there you have it.
My favorite kiddies.
Sometimes a handful, but always worth it :)

I ended up just taking picture after picture.
Just hoping that I got one where everyone was looking.
But we got some great ones!

Random picture of the cat with his little leash. Hehe.

They are pretty good looking kids.
Mom & Dad were super surprised when the kids showed them these shots!
(And I am surprised we survived it!!)
;)

The opportunities to goof off and be funny were pretty much the only thing that got them through the nice ones. Hey, whatever it takes right?
But since being silly is right up my alley, we had a great time.

 Isn't this one a GEM!?
Haha!

There is never a dull moment with these guys.
Love them!
